Summer on Main/Roanoke After Dark fun for all

We have got so many wonderful  events planned for June 4th.

Summer on Main celebrates its third year and then our new event Roanoke after Dark is sure to be a hit as well.

The Roanoke After Dark Concert features Soul Tymes Nine, a group that performed around the region in the late 60s and early 70s. More than a dozen men with instruments will be performing for what we hope is going to be a sell out crowd. Tickets are selling fast at $10 each and if we have any available we will be selling them at the Randolph County Chamber of Commerce booth during Summer on Main.

Summer on Main is shaping up  to be a great time for the family. We will have a kids area along with numerous arts and crafts vendors. There will also be a quilt show and hat parade.

Summer on Main begins at 9 a.m. on June 4th and will end at 4 p.m.

At that time, Handley High School will be having a Generations Reunion with numerous classes being represented.

At 7 p.m. Roanoke After Dark will begin.

All of this would not be possible without our sponsors… which include Gold Sponsors Kesa Johnston Attorney at Law, Lakeside Marina, Lake Wedowee Life, The Randolph Leader, Eagle 102.3, Wyner Phillips, Wedowee Marine, Randolph County Economic Development Authority  and Southern Union State Community College.; silver sponsors Farmer’s Insurance, Fiberglass Unlimited, TEC, Mohawk, State Farm Insurance, Jerry Cotney, Randy Gann, Larry Dollar, Dan Peek, Don Knight, Bob Landers, Mary Messer’s Flower Shop, RE/MAX Lakefront; Bronze Sponsors… Bank of Wedowee, Southern Home Comfort, Morrison Insurance, Hunter Bend Realty.

On another note, we are planning another Lunch and Learn session for June 16. It will be focused on marketing your small business. We are working out the details and to keep up to date on Chamber happenings, please check out our facebook page at facebook.com/randolphcounty.

We encourage all of you to make plans to attend these events. For more information about them, please call me at the chamber office 334.863.6612 or 334.863.1402. Or, you can email me at rancococ@teleclipse.net.
